iProcure Limited, a Web and Mobile based distribution and supply platform, is pioneering an optimised demand and data driven approach to the distribution of agricultural inputs to small holder farmers in Kenya.
iProcure leverages on a proprietary technology platform to ensure that small holder farming communities can access quality inputs on terms and conditions that are convenient to them.
Through optimization of the supply chains and demand combination from smallholder farmers, iProcure is able to lower the cost of inputs while eliminating the geographic divide that often stands in the way of smallholder farmers accessing inputs.
iProcure’s platform also provides critical business intelligence for the manufacturers allowing them to make more accurate production decisions based on market demand, while enabling price control as well as maintaining after sales relationships with their customers and introducing traceability into the supply chain from production to consumption.
iProcure entered the agriculture space as a new innovation and received significant support from Kenya Markets Trust and Technoserve, our implementing partner in Dairy work, in deploying it’s innovations.
The platform is currently serving over 7000 small holder dairy farmers in 3 counties (Nyandarua, Nakuru, Makueni ) in Kenya and has consistently been able to reduce both the financial and geographic barriers to the adoption of agricultural inputs by small holder dairy farmers.
Their growth trajectory is an aggressive one, and are targetting to be in 30 counties within the next 12 months.
Due to the benefits of the innovation, there has been a significant increase of up to 2500% in inputs purchase through iProcure platform.
